一种基于二极管的Ka波段行波管预失真电路

摘要
本文通过分析肖特基二极管的非线性特性设计了一款用于改善Ka波段行波管放大器线性度的预失真电路。该电路采用两路式结构,线性支路采用变容二极管用于调节相位,非线性支路采用肖特基二极管用于产生非线性分量。通过调节变容二极管和肖特基二极管的偏置电压,可以得到不同幅度和相位组合以满足不同类型行波管放大器的线性化要求。仿真结果显示,该预失真器在29~31GHz频段范围内,可提供约5.5d B的增益扩张和40°的相位扩展,端口驻波系数优于1.32。这表明该预失真电路可调性强,满足行波管放大器线性度补偿需求。
Based on the analysis of the nonlinear characteristics of Schottky diodes, a predistortion circuit is designed to improve the linearity of Ka band traveling wave tube amplifier. The circuit adopts double-way structure, and the linear branch use varactor diode to adjust the phase, and the nonlinear branch uses schottky diode to generate the nonlinear component. By adjusting the bias voltage of the varactor diode and Schottky diode, different amplitude and phase combinations can be obtained to meet the requirements of different types of traveling wave tube amplifiers. The simulation results show that the predistorter can provide about 6d B gain expansion and 80° phase expansion in the range of 29 ~ 31 GHz, and the VSWR is better than 1.41. That means the predistortion circuit has good adjustability, and it can meet traveling wave tube amplifier(TWTA) linearity compensation requirements
