１９９５年第四季度，全球地震活动仍保持显著的高水平，地域分布比较广泛，活动强度与第二、第三季度相近。这显示１９９５年为高水平活动的年份。美洲在智利地震之后发生墨西哥地震。琉球群岛发生不多见的浅源强地震序列。埃及西奈半岛附近发生强烈地震。亚欧地震带发生东西向的连续跳过现象。千岛群岛在１９９４年１０月４日大震之后又发生一次大地震序列活动。
During the 4th quarter of the year 1995, the global seismicity still remained at distinctly highlevel, with a more extensive distribution of regions, the strenghth of seismicity was about similarto that of the second and the third quarters. This indicates that the seismicity of the year 1995was at high level. In the Americas a great earthquake struck Mexico after the Chile earthquake.Scarce shallow strong earthquake sequences occurred in the Ryukyu Islands. A strong earthquakeoccurred near Sinai Pen., Egypt. Successive hopping migration phenomena with east-west direction took place in the Eurasian belt. A great earthquake sequence occurred in the Kuril Islands after the earthquake occurring on October 4, 1994.
