摘要
Salt movements have been paid much popular attention in salt tectonics. A scaled physical analog model and its 3D reconstruction were used to investigate driving forces from either tectonic displacement loading or differential sediment loading in this paper. This study suggests that significant salt flow happens under tectonic compression. At a high compressive tectonic strain rate (about 10-13 s-1), salt movements are primarily driven by tectonic displacement loading, followed by differential sediment loading.
