Nam Co, located in Central Tibetan Plateau, for investigating the recent sedimentation rate within Nam Co, eight cores were drilled in different locations and recent sedimentation rate study was conducted by using 210 Pb and 137 Cs method. Both CRS (Constant Rate of 210 Pb Supply) and CIC (Constant Initial 210 Pb Concentration) models were used to determine the ages of the cores and sedimentation rates. The results show distinct spatial variability of mean sedimentation rates ranging from 0.043 cm/a to 0.098 cm/a from ca.1950 A.D. among six cores.
