摘要
Clay deposits in northern Henan Province are distributed over the Qinyang-Jiaozuo belt. In the eastern section, ore bed occurs in stripped form, while in the western section, ore occurs isolated blocks. Shape and occurrence of the orebodies are controlled by paleokarst landform of the carbonate basement. The clay deposits in northern Henan Province may be divided into 2 sedimentary facies belts according to sedimentary facies and into 2 facies areas such as littoral-neritic facies area and littoral area according to rock association, sedimentary structure, fossils and microelement geochemistry from north to south.
