Ore deposits in clustered ore deposit area in western Henan province are divided into three types and 6 sub types. Magmatic hydrothermally overprinted and reworked deposit is defined and its geo- logical background, structural transformation and metallogeny expounded. According to researches on ore mineral association, mineralization alteration characteristics and isotopic age data of Shanggong gold de- posit the magmatic hydrothermally overprinted and reworked deposit is characterized by old hosting rock, long tectonic evolution, milt ore material sources (from deep and orogenic belt), complex ore materials, various mineral associations, and strong metamorphjism of the host rock, multi-alterations and altered rocks, multi-staged and overprinted mineralization and multi-genesis.
