The Zhawala gold deposit is confined to the Permian-Lower Triassic marble and controlled by nearly north-southern shear fractured alteration zones. The deposit was formed by Indo-Chinese magmatism and faulting and was not in direct relation with skarnization. The deposit belongs to medium-lower temperature tectonic-hydrothermal alteration type with prospect of medium-large deposit in the north-southern fractured alteration zone around the magmatic mass.
