摘要

The abundant Late Cretaceous ostracods has been described based on 372 samples from 24 boreholes and four outcrop sections of the Upper Cretaceous Sanshui and Dalangshan Formations in the Sanshui Basin, Guangdong Province, Southern China. Sixty-two species (including one new species) in 24 genera are figured herein. There are two ostracod faunas and three biozones recognized in ascending order: the Talicypridea fauna (i.e., the Talicypridea amoena Zone) and the Porpocypris fauna (subdivided into P. globra and P. sphaeroidalis zones). According to the ostracod zonations the Sanshui and Dalangshan formations could be respectively correlated with the Nanxiong Group (early-middle Late Cretaceous) and the Pingling Member of the Shanghu Formation late Late Cretaceous of the Nanxiong Basin, northern Guangdong Province.
