摘要
Inhibitive properties of a newly developed polyamine shale inhibitor (SDA) were evaluated by means of novel testing methods, such as mud-making inhibition of bentonite, buckling hardness and slake durability. The results indicate that highly inhibitive SDA is superior to the conventional inhibitor (KCl) and equivalent to a foreign product (Ultrahib). The inhibition mechanism of this polyamine was thoroughly studied by FT-IR, XRD, Zeta potential measurement analyses. Both electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bonds jointly bind the adjacent clay sheets together and inhibit the clay from hydration and swelling.
