A series of Ba_4-xGd₃Na₃ (PO₄)₆F₂:xEu²⁺ phosphors are prepared by sintering a stoichiometric mixture of raw materials with an excess of BaF₂ under a H₂(10%)/N₂ reducing atmosphere (1075 °C, 6 h).
