ChemInform Abstract: Hydrogenation-Induced Structure and Property Changes in the Rare-Earth Metal Gallide NdGa: Evolution of a [GaH]2— Polyanion Containing Peierls-Like Ga—H Chains.
NdGaH1.66 and its deuterated analogue are obtained by heating NdGa with H2 or D2 (autoclave, 10—20 bar, 300 °C, up to 48 h) and characterized by powder neutron diffraction, thermal desorption mass spectrometry, and magnetic measurements.
