Current understanding of EMT as a critical contributor to prostate cancer progression to metastasis and clinical management of the disease. Dissection of the androgen receptor (AR) mechanisms driving therapeutic resistance of prostate tumors to taxane chemotherapy via promoting EMT. Evidence on the transition to a dedifferentiated invasive phenotype mediated by TGFβ and supported by engaging signaling pathways towards reversal of EMT to MET. Elucidation of therapeutic targeting value of EMT signaling, including repression of transcription factors navigating EMT to MET interconversions.
