Four of 12 countries show that the costs of national control and eradication activities are justified. One country estimated that the costs of national control activities are not justified. The majority of economic assessments are based primarily in the area of control and eradication programs without vaccination. The majority of financial assessments are based primarily in the area of biosecurity with vaccination. A lack of different and accurate economic methods exist at national and regional level; a range of different methods were found at farm level.
