E2 through GPER-Gαs-adenylyl cyclase maintains high intra-oocyte cAMP/PKA in immature oocyte. Active PKA blocks translational activation and/or MEK-MAPK cascade in teleost oocyte. MIS action through mPR down regulates adenylyl cyclase and cAMP/PKA. Conversely, insulin/IGF through RTK activates PI3K/Akt/PDE3 to attenuate PKA action. Synergism between MIS and IGF1 overcomes E2-inhibition of meiosis resumption efficiently.
