Fennoscandian Ice Sheet dynamics and associated sedimentation through the Quaternary has been reconstructed. Number of diagnostic buried subglacial landforms indicate complex ice-sheet evolution. A calving margin of the FIS was present on the Norwegian coast since the earliest Quaternary. Gradual development of fast-flowing ice streams started ∼1.5 Ma, with erosional intensification from ∼0.8 Ma. Little geomorphological evidence for subglacial drainage was found in the vast 3D seismic record.
