Pattern formation in human drying blood drops has been studied and compared in 3 groups: healthy, thalassemia and neonatal jaundice. Large radial cracks are investigated. They do not form in thalassemia group. Their length is related to bilirubin level in jaundice group. The relation between the length of the cracks and physical properties of blood like concentration of cells, viscosity and surface tension has been discussed. The height profile of dried drops has been compared in the 3 groups. The patterns and especially the length of cracks can be the indicator of the mentioned diseases and also show the paroxysm of jaundice.
