Intermittent high-fat diet (Int-HFD) access selectively attenuated alcohol intake. Int-HFD intake increased plasma ghrelin levels and induced anxiolytic behavior. Altered anxiety levels due to Int-HFD exposure may have impacted alcohol intake.
