The National League for Nursing recommends individual learning styles of each nursing student be identified and addressed Few studies have investigated learning styles of graduate entry nursing students. A classroom activity that administers the learning styles instrument as a research project delivers outcomes of student and faculty engagement and research dissemination. The use of simulation is a learning strategy and engages the students through active/reflective, sensing/intuitive, and visual/verbal modes of learning. Defining the predominant learning styles of nursing students is important in designing curricula and in adopting teaching styles that promote student learning.
