GPR4 deficiency reduces acute intestinal inflammation in a mouse colitis model. GPR4 gene expression is upregulated in inflamed mouse and human intestinal tissues. Vascular endothelial cells are the major cell type in which GPR4 is expressed. GPR4 deficiency decreases endothelial adhesion molecule expression in inflamed mouse intestines.
