Metabolic carbon fluxes are clearly affected by the initial glycerol concentration. PDO production with S. blattae is optima when initial raw glycerol is near 30 g L−1. PDO production is affected for glycerol concentrations higher than 50 g L−1. A kinetic model is obtained to describe the influence of the glycerol concentration.
