Srx inhibitor K27 induces the accumulation of sulfinylated peroxiredoxins and ROS. K27 kills the death of cancer cells by inducing oxidative mitochondrial damage. K27 leads to effective killing of cancer cells over normal cells. K27 suppresses the growth of xenograft tumors without acute toxicity. Targeting Srx might be a novel therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment.
