High CO2 separation performance of amino acid ionic liquid-based double network ion gel membranes in low CO2 concentration gas mixtures under humid conditions
Amino acid ionic liquid-based gel membrane was used in low CO2 content gases. CO2/N2 separation performance of the membrane was evaluated at PCO2 <0.1 kPa. Exceptionally high CO2 permeability (>30000 barrer) was achieved in wide RH range. The CO2 permeability was one order of magnitude higher than conventional FTMs. The ion gel membrane exhibited good durability at high RH.
