Long time annealing experiments confirm the key ternary three-phase equilibrium. Thermodynamic description of Li-C and Si-C binary subsystems are revised. Consistent thermodynamic description of the Li-Si-C ternary system is established. Thermodynamic calculations are reconciled with key experimental results.
