The 91-205 amino acid region of AcMNPV ORF34 (Ac34), which comprises a potential C3H zinc finger, is required for its nuclear localization and optimal virus multiplication
The Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus Ac34 locates to the nucleus of Sf9 cells without the assistance of other viral proteins. The 91-205 amino acid region of Ac34 is required for its nuclear import. A potential C3H zinc finger located in amino acid 116-131 of Ac34 is essential for nuclear import. Nuclear localization of Ac34 is required for optimal virus replication.
