Pollution implication of energy-growth nexus should be considered in policy formulation for development. Regional policies should recognise that energy-growth-emission (E-G-El)linkages varied across countries. Studies on energy-growth nexus without considering pollution impact contribute little to the literature. Studies are needed to investigate the substitution/complementary effects of energy varieties on growth and emission. New methodological contributions are needed to enhance the understanding of the E-G-Elinkages.
