Development of structural-functional integrated energy storage concrete with innovative macro-encapsulated PCM by hollow steel ball

An innovative macro-encapsulation of PCM using HSB was developed. Macro-encapsulated PCM-HSB-c has high latent heat storage capacity (153.1 J/g). PCM-HSB-c concretes with structural and thermostatic properties were produced and demonstrated. Effect of thermal cycles on properties of the PCM concretes was investigated. Thermal performances of the PCM concretes were estimated by the rate of temperature decrease.
