A methodology is proposed to optimise thermal comfort and cognitive performance during DLC events. DLC algorithms with off cycle fraction not higher than 50% and adapting temperature lower than neutral are recommended. Either shorter or longer cycling period can be adopted. Building envelope thermal performance condition does not affect thermal comfort or cognitive performance.
