This study investigates the potential of bioethanol production in Indonesia. Dual objectives for meeting blending targets and sugar self-sufficiency are simulated. Different scenarios are developed considering suitable land for sugarcane fields. Integrated sugar and biofuel programs are needed for achieving multiple benefits.
