Transgenic medaka IFNd-Tg fish that constitutively overexpressed the IFNd gene was generated. IFNd-Tg fish had a phenotype of lower response to poly(I:C) and susceptibility to infection with nervous necrosis virus (NNV). The IFN signal transduction was down-regulated in IFNd-Tg.
