High-efficiency and low-cost Li/ZnO catalysts for synthesis of glycerol carbonate from glycerol transesterification: The role of Li and ZnO interaction
Efficient Li/ZnO catalyst was developed to synthesize glycerol carbonate from glycerol. Strong basic sites [Li+ O−] were assumed to be responsible for the high catalytic activity. The weak and moderate basic sites were converted to strong basic sites at higher temperature. No obvious decrease in activity was observed after three runs.
