The Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy is successfully produced by master alloy addition. Homogeneous distribution of the alloying elements is achieved. Comparable tensile strength to the wrought alloy is obtained. The press and sinter route is proved to be a promising alternative for Ti biomaterials.
