A micro-imaging-dedicated virtual phantom (μ-ViP) was implemented at high magnetic field. μ-ViP is of great benefit for quantification of the MR signal in small samples (<1 cm in diameter). μ-ViP is a reference signal useful for on-line quality control of the spectrometer performance. μ-ViP is useful in case of real-time experiments while the temperature or moisture is changed.
