One-pot synthesis of fluorinated benzimidazolines, benzothiazolines, benzoxazolines, and dihydrobenzoxazinones was easily achieved undermild conditions in high yields and purity through gallium(III) triflate mediated condensation-cyclization. Introduction of fluorine atoms favorsthe formation of the five-membered heterocycles over seven-membered heterocycles.
