ZnO–B2O3-a href='/search?dc.title=SiO&facet-content-type=ReferenceWorkEntry&sortOrder=relevance' class='reference-link webtrekk-track' gaCategory="Internal link" gaLabel="SiO" gaAction="reference keyword">SiO2:Mn2+ (ZBSM) optical-storage glass–ceramics doped with ZnF2 were successfully prepared via sol–gel method. The effects of ZnF2 additive on the preparation of glass–ceramics were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry. X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy were employed to investigate the mineralogical and micro-structural characteristics of ZBSM (ZnF2) optical-storage glass–ceramics. Optical storage properties of the samples were measured through photoluminescence, long-lasting phosphor (LLP) decay curves and thermo-luminescence (TL). LLP decay curves demonstrated that lower phonons energy of F?/sup> could generate more stable metastable energy. TL spectra illustrated that the sample with 20?mol% ZnF2 content showed the best performance.
