The differences of threading and gauging on the tolerance of the round thread height,V-groove root radius/flat of thread height groove check blocks,the last perfect thread location on external threads between API Spec 5 B 15 thedition and 16 thedition are introduced.The new added inspection items of the addendum,thread crest diameter,ovality are analyzed. The technical errors,editorial errors and some imperfections of the API Spec 5 B 16 thedition are pointed out,and the modified suggestions are given. How to response the changes on the threading,inspection,gages calibration of thread for the standard users is discussed.
