论“主题互文性”及在语篇研究中的阐释力

摘要
美国语言学家Jay Lemke从社会和文化背景出发研究话语社团的语言使用,认为话语社团成员的语言使用受到长期以来形成的语言使用模式和语言使用惯例潜移默化的影响。Lemke发表了系列论文对话语社团的语言使用"模式"和"惯例"进行研究,发展成独具特色的"主题互文性"语篇研究流派。"主题互文性"研究,不再孤立地看待语篇互文现象,也不再局限在语篇视域内认识语篇,而是把语篇互文现象放在人类社会活动的全局中来认识和考察。Lemke关于"话语社团""主题互文性""主题结构""前景化"等的论述深化了我们对语篇互文现象的认识。文章尝试将"主题互文性"研究理念运用于党政机关公文语篇的研究,探索党政机关公文语篇的生成机制以及"主题互文性"语篇研究的路径。研究发现,我国党政机关话语社团意识形态的高度统一性对党政机关公文语篇主题的生成具有强大的统摄力,"主题互文性"研究理念对于此类客观性、系统性比较强的语篇具有良好的阐释力。
The American linguist Jay Lemke studies the language use of discourse communities from the perspective of social and cultural background,holding that it is influenced by the patterns and conventions that have been formed for a long time. Lemke has published a series of papers on the linguistic patterns and conventions of discourse communities, w hich has developed into a distinctive branch of discourse analysis on Thematic Intertextuality. Lemke's study of thematic intertextuality no longer view s the intertextuality of texts in isolation,nor confined to the discourse itself,but understands and explains it into the overall situation of human social activities. Lemke 's exposition of the concepts of ‘Discourse Community', ‘Thematic Intertextuality ',‘Thematic Formation'and ‘Foreground'deepens our understanding of the intertextuality of texts. This paper attempts to apply the theory of Thematic Intertextuality to the study of official documents,and to explore the generating mechanism of official documents in China and the route of thematic intertextuality discourse analysis. It is found that the highly unified ideology of the official discourse community strongly influences the generation of the themes of the official documents in China. And the theory of Thematic Intertextuality has a good explanatory pow er for such objective and systematic discourses.
