摘要
RSOA被认为是实现无源光网络PON中ONU无色化的一种重要的光学器件,但常见的RSOA的调制带宽往往只有1.5GHz左右,严重制约了PON系统的上行链路信号带宽。文章提出了两种有效提高RSOA调制带宽方案:使用光带通滤波器或者SOA与RSOA级联的均衡原理,提高上行信号调制带宽和系统功率预算。通过深入的数学模型分析和大量的相关实验,验证了这两种方案的正确性和可行性,同时实验结果表明使用光带通滤波器或者SOA可以使RSOA调制带宽分别展宽0.15 GHz和0.3GHz,并将功率预算分别提高12 d B和17d B。
