At present, China's economy gets a rapid growth and various construction achieve great achievements, at the same time, it also pays the price of huge number of resources and environmental destruction,so the situation that achieving saving energy and reducing consumption very grim. Coal derived ethanediol technology, as one new-emerging technology, should walk in the forefront of the saving energy and reducing consumption action. In this paper, it focuses on introducing the process of coal derived ethanediol, the optimization of technological process, reasonable improv ement and choice of equipment, and the measures of strengthening the heat preservation to raise the energy utilization ratio of equipment, such as the recycling of feed gas, optimization of steam pipe network, update of connecting equipment etc., the coal in the production of ethylene glycol,. Through the above energy-saving measures, we effectively reduce the production cost and increase the competitiveness of the enterprises.
