由实际教学中发现的误译浅谈高职高专大学英语翻译课教学

教育部颁布的《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》规定高职高专英语课程的教学目的是"让学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和技能,并具有一定的听、说、读、写、译的能力"。对于高职高专学生翻译能力的基本要求,即能借助词典阅读和翻译一般题材中低难度的英语业务资料。在高职高专大学英语教学中,听、说、读、写能力的培养都得到不同程度的重视,但翻译课教学却处于尴尬境地,是英语教学中的薄弱环节。本文从实际教学中发现的误译,分析高职高专英语翻译课教学中存在的问题,探讨高职高专大学英语翻译课教学策略,以期提高翻译课教学的质量。
The teaching objective stipulated in "Basic Requirements for Higher Vocational Education English Teaching" promulgated by Ministry of Education is to make the students to master English knowledge and some basic skills including listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation skills.The basic requirements of translation ability for higher vocational students is that having the aid of a dictionary,the students can read and translate English professional materials of general theme with low and middle degree of difficulty.During the English teaching,all abilities except for translation ability are given different levels of attention and therefore translation course teaching is in the weak link embarrassedly.The paper will analyze the problems existing in the translation course teaching for higher vocational college English through the mistranslations found in the practical teaching,and discuss the strategies for translation course teaching in order to improve the teaching quality.
