摘要

层序地层学源自地震地层学,它在沉积矿产特别是油气勘探领域得到了广泛的应用.当前,层序地层学的应用和研究大致上可以分成3个学派,即Vail的沉积层序地层学、Galloway的成因地层层序学及Cross的高分辨率层序地层学.他们有共同的术语,但概念及思路又各不相同.
Sequence stratigraphy is evolved from seismic stratigraphy, and has found wide use in petroleum and other sedimentary resources exploration in the world. Currently, there are three schools of theories in the field. They have their own conceptual model and study ways for sequence stratigraphy. This paper analyzes the origin and development of sequence stratigraphy, and discusses the features and predominance of these theories; and summarizes some new achievements on sequence stratigraphy over the past years.
