Biomass dedicated supply chains produced lower emissions than conventional ones. Cut-to-length systems generated lower emissions than full-tree systems. Transport from forest to industry was the process with the highest emissions. Pulpwood, stump core and long tops had the lowest emissions of the forest fuels.
