摘要
Presented is an overview of the traditionally used absolute dating techniques for Quaternary geomorphological complexes. It is shown that they have a narrow range of coverage both as regards the time interval and with respect to the set of objects dated; therefore, they are unsuitable for age diagnostics of most geomorphological formations. The novel methods of dating are examined, and an assessment is made of the most promising of them. Technologies of age diagnostics, the merits and demerits of the existing and new methods, and the possibilities of using them in Siberia are considered.
