In 2013,one forest bat was collected in Darongshan Mountain National Nature Park,Guangxi, and nine bats were collected in Jinggangshan Mountain National Nature Reserve,Jiangxi by using the harp trapping. All specimens were medium size, short tubes nostrils; yellowish-brown pelage base; brown chestnut pelage tip; and with strong skull and teeth.Using D500 X ultrasound detector, the echolocation sounds of bats were recorded in resting state and flying state, respectively, and the main frequency was 51. 3- 59. 0 k Hz in flying state( FM type). According to the external and skull characteristics, these bats were identified as lesser hairy-winged bat Harpiocephalus harpia, which represented the first record in Guangxi and Jiangxi. Significant morphological differences between different sexes( t-test) indicated an occurrence of sexual dimorphism within this species. The specimens above were deposited in Guangzhou University.
