“赫斯特之争”:英美马克思主义社会形态过渡讨论谱系中有待发掘的理论资源
摘要
社会形态过渡是"二战"后英美马克思主义理论界关注的热点话题。英国激进左翼学者赫斯特在接续阿尔都塞和巴里巴尔关于生产方式问题探讨的基础上,详细考察了前资本主义生产方式的结构、再生产及其动态发展,并在此基础上阐明了封建主义向资本主义过渡的理论进路,探析了资本主义的现实发展和危机问题,受到学界的广泛关注和讨论,由此形成了颇具影响的"赫斯特之争"。赫斯特理论的进步之处在于试图突破"多布—斯威齐之争"和"布伦纳之争"侧重从经济领域寻找过渡动力的既有框架,开始重视上层建筑内部诸要素及其对经济基础的反作用。然而,赫斯特理论立场的结构主义方法论底色不自觉地消解着其理论创新的深度。研究并发掘"赫斯特之争"及其蕴涵的理论资源,对深化马克思主义研究具有积极意义。
