A Feminist Analysis in Fifth Chinese Daughter

摘要
Jade Snow Wong is called "the mother of Chinese-American literature". Her work, Fifth Chinese Daughter as the great literary work, is of great significance for us to study the Chinese American literature and the image of the second generation of Chinese American female. By analyzing the text Fifth Chinese Daughter, the thesis mainly pays much attention to the feminism on Jade Snow at different stages, her image, the causes for being a feminist and the influence. In the end, a conclusion is clearly drawn that with the awakening of feminist consciousness, women dare to break through the bondage of patriarchy and seek for their freedom and equality in a patriarchal society.
