The law of dilatometer test parameters is got from the in-situ test of flat Dilatometer Miriam (DMT) at the estuaries of Yangtze River soft soil in coastal sediments. DMT results agree with Static Cone Penetration Test, and DMT can get the lateral coefficient of subgrade reaction KH quickly for the design of pile foundation and provide reliable data. Contrast with pressuremeter test, DMT test value is often larger. In clay layer, silty clay including clayey silt, muddy silty clay, clayey silt and muddy clay, KH is less different from the real value, it can be used in those soil. While in sandy soil and powder sand, it has a significant difference from the real value, so it is unfavorable in such soil.
