The 1∶4 000 000 environmental geological map comprehensively reflects the regional geological environment basic characteristics, the main environmental geological problems and geological disasters, nearshore hydrological conditions and human engineering-economic activity intensity of China coastal zone. This paper states the basic principles, drawing boundary, main contents and shows methods and environmental geology subarea of China coastal zone.
