This paper adopts the FLAC3D software to simulate the distribution of the stress field and the displacement field. The simulation results show that the core slope deformation is mainly controlled by the specific structure. With the excavation, the slope stability in the whole gradually increases, but there are some adverse blocks in the excavation slope of the core. There is wedge-tensile fracturing in the upstream side of the slope, while there is slide-tensile fracturing in the downstream side of the slope. The results of the analysis above-mentioned are certain significance for the design of the core slope.
