With Liaocheng City as an example, supported by the Digital Liaocheng Geographic Space Frame Construction and Application Demonstration Project, this paper gave a detailed introduction to the making process of normal reflection image and matters needing attention and provided a method and basis for production of airborne survey normal reflection image in the future. With the development and popular use of airborne photography technology, big-scale normal reflection image has step by step enriched traditional topographic map by its abundant contents and direct vision results. The normal reflection image-based airborne survey line map has greatly improved the efficiency of field surveying and the precision of field supplementary surveying.
