From the viewpoints of the geological techniques and theories, the resource extent and its recoverability for lacustrine-facies tight oil are evaluated, the three key problems are discussed and solved: "where? How much totally? and How much can be produced? " The studies show that the key to recognize the spatial distribution of the oil in the explored zones is to finely distinguish the source-rock formations/members enriched the organic matter and oil-bearing interbeds, the formations/members with different TOCs in this facies of zone can be delineated by the well logging and geochemical evaluating techniques for the source rocks, with the help of the correlation between HI and TOC, the heterogeneous fine characterization of the source rocks can be realized ; the accumulated two forms of the tight oil in the lacustrine-facies explored zones are shown as follows: free tight oil in the interbeds between the sandstone/sihstone and carbonate, the absorbed and free tight oil in the organic matter-rich source rocks; the absorbed oil is difficult to produce under the conditions of the present techniques, the free oil really has industrial value nowadays, according to the actual geochemical data, the changed modes of the free and absorbed oils in the source rocks can be calibrated, thus the amounts of the free, absorbed and total in-situ oils can be calculated.
